Storage Management
SmartIT will perform security management on all storage devices in computers and external storage devices (such as external storage media, network drives, optical drives, floppy drives, video devices, and portable devices) depending on user needs to permit open or restricted uses and reduce the risk of disclosing confidential information. While restricting the use of storage devices, it will not affect the application of non-storage devices such as USB interface keyboards, mice, and other devices.
Device Manager Disabled
SmartIT provides a variety of device restriction options, such as COM Port, LPT Port, infrared, printers, video devices, portable devices, Bluetooth, modem (including 3G/3.5G wireless LAN), wireless LAN (including external/internal built-in WiFi wireless cards), and strengthens the protective measures to avoid the risk of confidential information from being leaked.
File Encryption and Decryption
SmartIT can perform encryption on files stored in USB drives to prevent them from being stolen.
File Copying Management
SmartIT can perform updating, deletion, amendment, renaming, reading for auditing, and backup functions on network drives, particular files, or directories to prevent data loss caused by employee misconduct.
Software Disablement
SmartIT allows the use of keywords to disable or enable single or multiple software programs to effectively restrict the use of IM software, software downloads, and software not meeting the company’s policies. The purposes are to improve employee productivity and ensure the legitimate use of software.

Administrators can flexibly restrict the execution of software with specific time sections to manage the periods of client software availability.
Software Blacklist
SmartIT can set up a list of restricted software and enter them into a blacklist. Software can be blacklisted by account or by computer to prevent unsupervised installation and illegal usage.

SmartIT can be set up with keywords to block or allow web browsing to certain URLs in order to avoid potential internet security threats and enhance employee productivity.
Web Time Management
The Administrators can schedule time periods during working hours to block or allow internet browsing.
File Transfer Management
SmartIT can disable file uploading via web browsers to avoid the outflow of confidential information.
Gateway Control
SmartIT allows gateway permissions to be set up by filtering listed MAC addresses to prevent unauthorized network connection with unrecognized mobile devices.

SmartIT can capture the screen images of specific computers at any time, or capture the screen images while a specific application is being executed.

The resolution of screenshots can be adjusted flexibly according to image quality requirements.
Capacity Management
The Administrator can set the screenshot storage method to first-in first-out or capacity restriction to avoid the problem of insufficient capacity.
Printer Audit Description
SmartIT can audit the printing account, number of sheets, time, and name of the printer, and can automatically print out the report. This helps prevent the outflow of important information and wasting paper.

IM File Transfer Restriction
SmartIT can block or log file transfers via IM tools. The computer name, user account, dialog caption, application name, starting time, and closing time will all be logged for management purposes.
Screen Sharing Restriction
SmartIT can disable the function of Skype screen sharing.
Keyword Search
SmartIT allows the Administrator to filter IM chats with a list of keywords. When the client chat content contains the listed keywords, the system will issue a notification to the IT manager.
Power-saving Management
SmartIT can customize the computer’s power-saving mode duration; and it can automatically enter into sleep, standby, automatic shutdown, or automatic lock modes to achieve power-saving and carbon reduction management. It can also open a prompt window before shutting off the computer screen. When the system is about to enter into the power-saving mode, it will pop up a prompt window to inform the client that the computer is about to enter into power-saving status so as to avoid losing unsaved data.
Offline Control
The Administrator can enforce the execution of another set of information security policies when the computer goes offline.
